This session of drafting techniques will demonstrate alternate methods of drafting and give you a chance to practise each.

All fibers for the class will be included.

You will learn

  • Methods Covered, English Long draw - Using Rolags , Rocking - no need to grip when drafting from prepared fiber, helpful for sore hands.
  • Roll back - for even, smooth yarns. Merino - two techniques for spinning very fine merino. From the fold - for longer fibers.

You will get

  • Ability to confidently spin a continuous thread.

  • Students to bring your wheel and a bobbin, Hand Carders, and a flicker, if you have them.

Cheryl is constantly testing new (to her) techniques and conducting "what if" experiments (which have probably all been done before) and loves the variety of yarns a handspinner can create just by changing one small aspect.

Cancellations & Refunds

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

You’re welcome to send someone in your place.

OR

  • A refund can be requested 7 days before class starts. Free of charge.
  • A transfer can be requested 7 days before the class starts. Free of charge.

No changes will be allowed after these times.
