Sculptured Waves crochet
You will learn how to make the 3-dimensional Sculptured Waves crochet pattern and receive a copy of the Sculptured Wave Blanket pattern that won the award for most Innovative Entry at the Australian Sheep and Wool show.
This is an intermediate crochet pattern using front loop crochet stitches.

You will learn
- The class will be making the pattern as a 36 stitch wide scarf so that they can experience making waves of different heights varying from starting with tiny ripples and working towards raging seas.
You will get
- A sculptured scarf

Recommended for experienced and advanced crocheters. This is not a beginner's workshop.
Preparation
What to bring
- Participants may purchase 150g ball of variegated gradient ocean yarn on the day or bring their own wool blend sock yarn.
- 4.0mm or 3.5 mm crochet hook. (Can be purchased from the Guild)
- Pen and notebook, scissors and yarn needle (scissors and yarn needle can be purchased from the Guild.

Melissa has been crocheting since a teenager but has only taken up design in the last decade. The Sculptured Waves blanket was born of a dream to go to bed and pull the waves up around her to sleep and resulted in a two year obsession in making crochet waves. Melissa has taught a short version of this class at The Crochet Conference and the North of the Yarra Quilting guild. She is also an established Indie dyer known for her gradient and ocean yarns.
